In short: Great event with challenging hills (especially going down!)
In full: Well organised with lots of local support. The route was fun with plently of ups and downs and mud, despite the freeze. Loved the cakes and teas at the finish! It would be helpful to have a changing tent as I doubt anyone finished the race without being covered in mud!

In short: First time and would definitely recommend it. Some killer hills, but worth it for the scenic views from the top.

In short: As they say - blood, sweat and hills - wonderful!
In full: I LOVE this race (even though I'm a slow, old person!). A real challenge - very tough YES but if it was easy it wouldn't be worth doing! Killer hills, both up and down, but some grippy off-road shoes, a bit of training and a lot of determination make for a great day out!

In short: Never fails to disappoint, whatever the conditions
In full: Always a pleasure and truly challenging. Well done to all the marshalls for braving the cold and wind. A bigger thank you to the cake makers, delicious goodies. See you next year.

In short: Rough and Tough, thankfully (for me) no Tumble. Geart fun in the conditions
In full: Mud on frozen ground added to the challange of monster hills and strong winds. The marshals must have been frozen, so thanks to them turning out. A bit congested at the start but before long thatre was the first monster hill to sort everyone out.

In short: Usual friendly well-organised hilly MT event - lots of mud, ice and falling deer
In full: Great event; even following the deep freeze, it was surprisingly muddy and slippery. Fantastic scenery, great organisation, superb bacon butties, tea and cakes, all really good value. One of my favourite events.

In short: A very well organised event, numbers are increasing causing a manic start and slow single track paths. A must for next year.

In short: My legs hurt!
In full: So tough but a really good race where finishing can only really happen if you've got a smile on your face! Some nice touches like the free to enter trainer raffle. Excellent marshall's. P.S. Any idea when we'll all be seen on Blue Peter?
