In short: Clearly an event organised by runners for runners, excellent.
In full: Well organised with some nice touches unlike many of the big city marathons. The field was a sensible size for the location and the organisers were obviously concerned with the participant's enjoyment rather than profit. Attention to detail was evident right down to individual numbering on the goodie bags. Congratulation to all concerned and keep up the excellent work.

In short: Fantastic race with flawless organisation
In full: This was my first Hogweed Hill Half, not a PB course but a fantasic one, brilliant organisation and marshals. Would choose this over a big city race any day

In short: Exactly what it says on the tin
In full: Beautiful scenery helped to take away from the pain of the hills and the organisation was faultless. Plenty of parking near the start and jelly baby carrying marshals to boot. Great goody bag with chocolate and orange juice and a t shirt. Thank you, Hogweed Trotters!

In short: Outstanding race, terrific organisation on all aspects
In full: I must have done 50+ half marathons (and countless other distances) now and this outshone them all. Full marks to Bob and the Hogweeds team for a brilliantly handled event. Great route with more than ample warning of the challenging course, clear instructions and remarkably friendly marshalls all round. This was my Hogweeds debut and will certainly be back for more. It struck me as a running event organised by runners for runners even through to the car parking and catering at the end. Would thoroughly recommend this event.

In short: Fantastic organisation on a challenging but beautiful rolling course!
In full: Very impressed with the number of marshals and the encouragement they gave around the course. The course was on unclosed roads so every now and then you just had to keep to the side - but it really wasn't a problem! The hill at mile 8 was much faster to walk than run - so as long as you factored this in - there were enough downhills to really make up for it. Really memorable race - thanks Hogweeds!

In short: Wonderful scenery! I had to keep walking so I could admire it.
In full: Fantastic race! Wonderful scenery (made me realise why I run), very friendly and encouraging marshalls, excellent food, good quality T-shirt. The Hogweeds even managed to arrange glorious sunshine. Brilliant! See you next year.
