In short: Expensive but worth it.
In full: This is the second time I've done this race and found it alot harder than last year. I'd forgotten how hilly it actually was although somehow managed to take 7 mins off my previous time and finish in a new PB of 1:35.
Great atmosphere from the locals cheering everyone on - it really does help.
Great organisation and well marshalled.
It is expensive but you can see this with the facilities and coverage. I can take my family and they have something to do whilst I'm pegging it around.

In short: Very will organised marathon
In full: Another well organised race which is hard to find fault with. Plenty of parking right next to the race village, loads of well stocked drink stations and great goody bag and medal.

There must be something wrong with me as I quite like the section around the water sports centre. You get there around 18 miles and by the time you have slogged round it you are at 22 miles and well on the way home. Seems to make the second half seem shorter to me.

In short: Excellent half marathon & wonderful people
In full: I did the half marathon and coming from Suffolk found the hills a challenge. The organisation was great although could have done with more portaloos on the course, I wasted 15 minutes waiting for one. The support from the locals was outstanding, the marshalls were full of encouragement even as far back in the pack as me! They had plenty of water and lucozade, the first aid teams were out in force, all in all a well organised and scenic race - a really great advert for Nottingham and it's people!

In short: Hard work but ultimately rewarding!
In full: Nottingham was my first half last year (2009) so I had to come back and do it again...

Overall it's a great half and well organised, medal and goody bag were excellent again this year and there was plenty of free water / lucozade available... We parked in car park "b" again arrived 90 minutes early and had no problems with traffic.

It's quite a challenging course, especially miles 5-8 and I found it a lot more congested this year running around 7:30 mm pace. I was relying on my Garmin for pacing and my eventual 7:34 pace bought me in at 1:40:14 measuring 13.29 miles so I was a bit disappointed not to break 1:40, but still a PB...

I'll be back next year!

In short: Very well organised marathon.
In full: Very well organised marathon. Did the full marathon. Isn't cheap to enter, but I would rather pay more to have a properly organised race.
Well marshalled. Plently of drinks / gels / lucazade. Nice to see Liz & Martin Yelling at mile 19.
1st half wasn't that hilly. Really enjoyed 1st half. 2nd half difficult mentally.
Hard at mile 13 when you can see the car park, when the half marathons go left to the finish & us full marathoners stay right. Didn't enjoy Holme Pierpoint round the lake. Very boring, would prefer this to be changed.
Struggled from mile 18 / 19 onwards.
Would be back next yr, but just to have a good go at the half.

In short: Would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the pain!!!
In full: Well organised, good parking, good marshals, well manned and stocked drinks stations. Could do with a T Shirt in the goody bag!
Ineresting course, worth doing.
