In short: Nice with some problems, course change BAD
In full: Course is more hilly and has potholes, Bad change. No sponges, why? Parking exit very poor. Could not find club member who stopped at 6m, nobody could help!!! They didn't know that a marshall had taken him to Queens Medical - Very Poor system. Food prices at vans high. Not a bad outing but as I have done it since 1999 I can say the course has got worse and there are now too many runners, and as for the corporate challenge runners starting at the front talk about orange roundabouts! Give them some guidance.

In short: A great race, well organised and good fun!
In full: I have to say the marshalls is this race particularly on the second half of the full marathon were second to none. They were so friendly and supportive. The drinks stations were well manned and there was huge amounts of water, lucozade and Gels. The first half was was challenging enough to make it interesting and the second half was full of lots of twists, turns and quirkyness. Very windy today!!

In short: * * * * * * * ABSOLUTELY BLO0DY MARVELLOUS! * * * * * * * * *
In full: How did they do it????????????

Superb event, the best marshalled and organised event I have ever ran. The event field was huge, toilets in abundance, food plentiful and great choice for spectators and finishers, transition area well manned and efficient, grandstand was a nice toch and provided excellent views for spectators at the finish. Loved the dual finish side by side for half and full marathon finishers.

T-shirt was excellent, goody bag had exactly what was required, water and sensible snack bar... Bristol last week had a tin of soup!!!!

Bag store was efficient and lucozade available at nearly every water station.

Tanoy system was effecient and on the go from when I arrived at the event field around 8-30am!

Well done to everyone involved, terrific. First time ran Nottingham and will be back. Even saw the Forest ground where manay many legends of the past have also trod... and the Trent, didn't cloughie used to walk on it???

In short: My first 1/2 - will probably do the full next year
In full: Returned to my home city for my very first half, so slightly biased re the location. The field was a bit crowded at times making it difficult to overtake - think I could have knocked a few minutes off my time otherwise. But really enjoyed it: well-organised and lots of clear instructions minimised my first-timer nerves.

In short: Would NOT recommend the relay here
In full: I can see how this may have been excellent for Half and Full marathons but this is the first year they have included a relay apparently and it was definitely an 'afterthought'. Having to each make our own way to/from changeover points which were miles away (the assumption being each one of us would have a car with us I think), with the useless map we were given, part of the way back was via lonely trading estates and next to busy, noisy ring road for a long way - terrific. No medal, no nothing (despite doing the equivalent of half marathon with all the extra miles of lonely walking included! Surreal ... did we actually take part?! Paid entry fee and ran with others in part of it, so must have done! Nothing to show for it now except a migraine). They really need to get the relay part better sorted. I usually enjoy most of the races I've done and have nothing but positive comments. The leg that each of us did was just fine in itself, it was the uneasy 'displaced' feeling that ruined it for us, which was a real shame. Not a patch on either the Edinburgh or Dublin relays. None of us would ever do this relay again.

In short: Well organised, great half marathon.
In full: A well organised half marathon which is welcoming to beginners. A reasonably flat course with some hills which were not overly challenging. A great atmosphere and lovely medal.

In short: Excellent organisation. Frequent drinks stations, friendly marshalls. I preferred the pre-2005 course to the recent changes, but still a good experience. I'll be back next year.p

In short: Excellent Organisation
In full: Well done to all who made this work.
Plentiful marshalls, first aiders, water stops and signage. Great to have all roads closed - unlike other races I've done battle with (and traffic).
Nice testing hills in the first half - but not enough to really push you to the limit. Couldn't do the full race, but the half was well worth it!
Well done to all
