In short: a once in a life-time 'must do'
In full: Was more anxious about this one than anything I've ever done, and felt (understandably)daunted by the finish over the 7 Sisters and up to Beachy Head. Waking up to near gale force winds and heavy rain almost finished me off!!! However, I had a fantastic day. The course is challenging, but the scenery is more than worth it. Marshalls in abundance and very friendly too. Much more support than I imagined there would be, and the weather came good in the end. I'll definitely do this again!

In full: Well my first ever marathon and wow, very tough but fantastic. A great mix of hills, woods, trails, beautiful hamlets and the stunning chalk cliffs of Beachy Head! Marshals and all the helpers were brilliant and well stocked with drinks and treats to keep the engine running. Well chuffed with sub five hours and will be back for another crack next year....well done to everyone!

In short: In a league of its own
In full: Second time running and was killed by the hills, the wind and the underfoot conditions. But what an experience, magnificent scenary and great marshalling. Totally cramped up in between the 2 steps and i am sure this was due to the wonderful sausage roll. THANK YOU Eastbourne

In short: Brilliant, awesome and that is just the scenery but goes for the sense of achievement as well.
In full: Superb. I found everything about this race to be excellent. The course was interesting, the views were stunning, the weather was mostly surprisingly good but with a bit of rain and some gusty wind. Marshalling was superb and was friendly, encouraging, and in all the right places. Drinks and food on the course were very good - mars bars, tea, soup, buns, and I think there were some other items that I missed. School facilities at the start/finish were also good. I had a great run and to me it is what running is all about - it is not about the training on hard city streets but the opportunity to run such a great race in marvellous surroundings with such friendly and encouraging people both taking part and providing the race 'infrastructure'. And to top it all I followed the course to the end of the double rainbow that appeared over the finish. What more could anyone ask.

In short: Second time on this course - could see things this year brilliant - the hills though are something else -it is not just at the Seven Sisters stage - they are all over the place. My Garrmin made interesting reading on the pacingg.

In short: Great race on the south downs. Spectacular trail across the 7 sisters.
In full: This is most definitely a great race on a magnificent course but not for the faint of heart. The marshalls were very friendly as were the locals of the few villages you pass through. I can't say I actually *enjoyed* the seven sisters as I was too busy trying to keep my lungs in on the way up and trying to stay up on the way down.
I would recommended this to anyone who likes running in the countryside.
