In short: Howling winds made fast times difficult.. Nice being away from traffic.

In short: Not overly impressed tbh
In full: Arrived an hour and fifteen minutes before the start....not a parking space in sight, for such a large event the parking is a nightmare.

£8 entry fee, medal looks like it cost about 10p, no date and just looks very very cheap. No clock working at the finish and no juice, just water which was a task in itself to find.

Finally the weather, i know theres nothing the organisers can do about it, but the wind coming off the Solent was a nightmare.

In short: Good race, if wind was down then definite PB potential as flat course all the way.
In full: I like the route, is not scenic but were not here for the scenary. Good PB potential if the wind died down, i was well on for a PB until the final mile.

In short: Loved it.
In full: Yes, windy, but that means that the wind is pushing you along for half the course, too! Really enjoyable race.

In short: PB potential
In full: Was I the only person that thought the start was a joke? The pointless row of traffic cones made it dangerous if you were running along the edge, I saw two other runners squirming in pain on the floor within the first 300m! Other than that the race is nice and fast. Marshalls were a bit quiet and I can't remember seeing any mile markers (maybe the wind got to them b efore I did!), but I got a PB so can't complain really.

In short: My First proper race, A great challenge worth doing could of done without the wind though.
In full: I have done 3-4 Race For Life 5k runs. The Victory 5 was my First paid run. I hadn't trained for two weeks due to having a virus but still managed to hit the finish line with the help of two ladies I run with Every Sunday. We stayed together all the way even at the last mile when the wind was straight in our faces holding us back when I was really running out of energy. I walked a couple of steps but managed to finish in the end feeling very proud of myself and well and truley bright red and sweaty. All in all a great race to be your first. Next goal is a 10k its not much further but every little Mile or Km is a challenge!

In short: The wind made it hard going in the last mile. Lots of runners and sometimes congested but a really enjoyable run. Will do it again next year. 16 seconds off my best time but without the strong wind should be a personal best race!

In short: Excellent- PB potential even allowing for the wind. Flooded tracks and waterlogging set me up nicely for next weeks cross country. Well marshalled as always.
