In short: This race is a paradox. Within it are all of the ingredients that go to make long distance running such a mad and masochistic undertaking on the one hand while delivering such enjoyment and satisfaction on the other hand. It is great.
In full: There is every chance of getting lost, stung, falling, going crazy - but it is fantastic. It is a great course. It is very well organised by people who really know what they are doing. There is great support and camaraderie among the runners and walkers. Great feeding stations. Great barbecue. And what about the bread pudding - super.

In short: Great event - hot, scenic and very friendly. Great BBQ at the end. Worst bit was being offered a beer from the golfers.....and having to turn it down! Will be back next year!

In short: An excellent race that is suitable for all standards
In full: A big thank you to the Spartans for an excellent race. The weather was blisteringly hot with many runners diving off into the rivers along the way to cool off. The decision to sight checkpoints at local pubs was a bit cheeky if not cruel as we arrived hot, hungry and dusty to see Joe Public tucking into their Sunday roast and the marshalls wearing gloves as apparently the beer was just too cold to hold! The atmosphere throughout was fantastic and I learnt heaps from the ten or so 100 marathon club runners taking part and the BBQ at the end gave the chance to pick their brains. All in all an extremely well run event worth travelling up from Salisbury for.
