In short: Fast well organised race but I was thwarted by illness
In full: This is a well attended runners event with great local support. I ran my second sub 1.30 here last year but struggled today after 9 miles with tired lungs. Two weeks working overseas in air conditioned environments and upset stomach have made a serious dent on my performance. Still it was good to get out for the first time in four weeks. I did have the sense to ease up in the last couple of miles and luckily didn't have to hitch a ride with the ambulance that had to drive through the finishing line to make an emergency pick up. This is a race which I'd recommend to any west country folk, particularly those looking for a challenge post Bristol

In short: Excellent organisation, as always
In full: This is the race that other local halves have to judge themselves by. Immaculate organisation and marshaling. It's never as flat as I remember - but that's probably coming after Cardiff last weekend which put my time back by three or four minutes. Great medal and t-shirt, and another long-sleeved one to add to my collection!

In short: Very enjoyable first half-marathon.
In full: My first half-marathon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice friendly atmosphere with good support at the finish. I thought the course was pretty flat. There are certainly no climbs that should scare off the inexperienced. I found the loop around the industrial estate pretty inoffensive. I'll certainly be back next year.

In short: Attention to detail
In full: ran it last year (2006, but the hill seemed steeper this time round. The drink stations are not ideally placed, again. Staff as friendly as positive as ever. but it cost a few pounds more to enter and there was no goody bag this year. So all in all, not overly impressed, which did not help as I ran my worst time ever, by a country mile.

In short: Good organisation, chip timing a bonus.
In full: The organisation of the race was excellent and the first half of the course was pleasant enough, but running on the main roads was not good. As I won't ever get a look-in at the prize money, I'd rather it was spent funding a better souvenir for the ordinary runners.

In short: Another excellent race from the organisers
In full: Back again for an attempt on my pb at this great race. The start and finish were well organised and I'm glad last year's amendment to the route has remained. I agree with the comments on the toilet facilities, otherwise no grumbles, loads of praise. Missed a pb though!

In short: I recommend entering with The Williams Syndrome Team for a good run and a good cause. That's what I did and I'll be back for more.
