In short: Enjoyable flat and fast early morning run In full: Mug collection is growing steadily - plus a nice goody bag at the end! Early start means you still have the best part of your Sunday to relax afterwards... Very quick course, and excellent organisation as usual from Human Race. Date of review: October 11, 2005

In short: Good organisation makes an otherwise ok race In full: Human Race are reknown for excellent organisation and this race is no different. The route is nothing special, although the trot along the Thames Path up to Hampton Court Palace is quite nice.
A nicely placed race to include in marathon training. Better than running on the paths on your own but will never be my favourite race. Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: A new personal best! In full: I ran 2h27.05 and wipped two girls in the final 50. One was so pissed-off (you know if it's you) that she barged past in the finishing tunnel to submit her place first. The finish pic will show you just cheat yourself ;o) Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: Very good New York Marathon training run In full: Well organised and a lovely route for some of the way. The only gripe would be that some of the marshalls didn't control the traffic at some junctions even though they were stood watching. Almost got hit by a scooter and got a shrug of the shoulders from the official! Good water and energy drinks stations. A good flat course for quick time. The area gets busy however as you run the second lap and cars are a problem. Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: Fast, flat but just a bit dull. Good for an autumnal training run but not exactly the highlight of the race calendar. Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: Great marathon training In full: Must be doing something right, ran 15 minutes faster than the previous 16-miler in March. Well-organised, great scerny for half the way and plenty of room. Only small gripe is finishers gift of a mug rather than a medal. Still, it will come in useful for my builders this week and keep them off the good china! Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: Very flat, scenic 16 miler In full: Really enjoyed this one,1st time out to the running festival, and really enjoyed it bar the early start. Most of it was pretty scenic, through parts of Kingston, and along the river, and past Hampton Court. 2 lap course. PB material (even if there aren't many 16 mile races). Organisation was good, lucozade pouches given out twice a lap, plus plenty at the finish. Nice 2 lap race (just struggled last few miles myself after martahon last week), but would certainly put on my list to do again Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: Flat, scenic and very early! In full: In summary a great race. Did 16 last year but went for the 8 this year and ran quicker than I thought I could!. Good race for beginners and advanced alike. First half along the towpath more scenic than the second but by the second half my head was looking at the floor anyway. Date of review: October 9, 2005
