In short: Nice well organised end of year race In full: I guess in an ideal world I'd have been chauffeured to and from my house to the start/finish, with nubile young ladies to rub me down at the end after I ran a sub 1:30. Putting aside fantasy lets see what we actually had. We had - plenty of parking on hard standing. - regular buses to and from the parking to the start. - quick bag storage/chip collection. - good marshalling - a nice rugby shirt memento - plenty of loos. - a course through some of the nicer bits of Beds - the weather playing ball - sausage or bacon butties at the end.
I had a good race, and to be fair, I can't honestly think of anything that could realistically have been done better.
Thank you Bedford Harriers and your marshals for putting it on. Date of review: December 12, 2010
In short: Well-organised and marshalled. Hills, long and slow but surprisingly good for a PB In full: Race info.& No. through in plenty of time with an informative course profile. Well organised buses to the race start. No queues to pick up chip. Great facilities at the start and end. Pretty prompt start time. Super marshalling & really encouraging. I had been a little worried from the profile about a couple of big hill, but they were long and gradual, as were the downhills. A PB and I finally broke 2hrs - will definitely try and make it back next year. Date of review: December 12, 2010
In short: Great focus for pre-Xmas training. Cold. Clearer & sunnier than last 2 yrs. Black top nicer than last year's red. Excellent organisation. 20 sec wait for water 5mile, but still managed PB. Coach worked fine. Well done Bedford Harriers. Thank you. Date of review: December 12, 2010
In short: Excellent orginisation and encouraging marshalls In full: Very slick organisation, just as well as it got very busy. Course was about right a few undulations to make it interesting. Hot shower at the end was nice as it was a bit on the cold side. The best shirt I have got from a race. Will be back next year Date of review: December 12, 2010
In short: Brilliant In full: The lady marshal at the finish was amazing "thank you". Great depth of prizes...it is so good to see the over 70's awarded prizes...it really is harder as you get older. Great rugby shirt...see you next year. Date of review: December 12, 2010
