In short: Superb race. Must do it again.
In full: The organisation is tremendous, as is the support around the course. It is a PB race and at a good time of the year for decent weather (ie not too hot or cold). Good mixture of standards - not a lonely race, even though it's not got the vast numbers of London!

In short: Extremely well organised and friendly race with great PB potential
In full: This was my first non-London marathon and I was immensely impressed by the sheer effort that had gone into the race organisation. The course, although partly 2 lap, was scenic and interesting. There were plenty of toilets, changing rooms, lockers, and warm places to hide before the start. The only negative point I have is that the Lucazade stops were actually at 14 and 23 miles rather than the advertised 12 and 21. The event for me was characterised by an abundance of really friendly marshalls offering support (and sweets) all the way round. A first class event.

In short: Flat and fast
In full: Pros: Very flat and fast, massive PB potential and I clocked my first sub 3 hour marathon. Lovely Oxfordshire countryside, very nice for a weekend away.
Cons: Water in plastic cups didn't cut it for me, I was very dehydrated by the end of the race. Small bottles from mile 14 onwards?

In short: very well organised, brilliantly marshalled, varied but flat route, great event
In full: superb marshals with some tricky crossings made easy, enthusiastic water stations, great facilities. i'd prefer water bottles in the last 10 -isotonics are a bit sweet and plastic cups just dont do it by that stage. otherwise great event
