In short: Pretty horrendous conditions, not least the surface water & a killing hill, but great organisation & friendly, encouraging marshalls. Not for a PB thought
In full: Extremely well organised, with lots of friendly, encouraging marshalls. It's quite a challenging course, with a long steep hill at around mile 7. The conditions were poor - heavy rain & strong winds, with a lot of surface water, including water covering the road several inches deep in places. When I ran the long hill, I felt I was running up a stream. I doubt it would be PB friendly, just because it's so undulating. Most cars behaved themselves, butpedestrians occasionally got in the way. At my age (61) and as a late starter to running (3 years ago), I'm realy looking for variety rather than repeating races. It's certainly one i would do again - but I haven't done enough races to rate it as an all time favourite. Though I feel 61 now, I know T'll feel a lot younger for the experience.

In short: Brilliant
In full: What a day for the half? Weather added to the diversity of the course. Shin deep puddles and spray from cars. Don't get that in many races.
Wonderfully organised and well done to all the marshalls, cheer leaders and bands. Definately hard to beat this race. Made even better by setting my pb today!!!

In short: Weather made it one to remember.
In full: Living in Essex (dryest place in UK) means never get hardcore weather to run in. So rain and wind today made it challenging and special as it up the hardcore factor.

Well done everyone and see you out there.

In short: Faultless, congratulations to all organisers and marshals
In full: Superb marshals and police in the atrocious conditions - thank you.
Tough but rewarding course.
Clockwork organisation.
Great atmosphere, lots of nice touches like the drumming and enthusiastic crowd.
Excellent bag drop, a well deserved cup given to the long time organiser....
Nice after race arrangements with the massages for charity and Dame Kelly Holmes genuinely enthusiastic at the presentations.
Even the car drivers looked quite tolerant to me, maybe I missed the grumpy ones.
Big congratulations to Tunbridge Wells Harriers.

In short: Faultness !
In full: This half marathon never disapoints. Fantastic organisation and race HQ with lots of space. Great course and supporting cheerful marshals despite the grim weather. Great value too with a technical top, medal and a goody bag packed full of stuff. After the shambles at the Brighton 1/2 last week this race was an absolute joy.

In short: as good as usual
In full: Despite the atrocious weather the marshalls were fantastic, they really made all the difference. It can't be hard to encourage people for that long in the cold and wet, but I am very grateful that they did. The cheerleaders, drummer and band were great, as were the specators, especially in Langton Green

In short: Organisation is brilliant, super goodie bags and the best, most encouraging marshalls I've ever encountered.
In full: All in all a fabulous race and certainly well worth doing. Even in atrocious weather conditions, the race ran like clockwork and the atmosphere was great. Fantastic!
