In short: Scenery not very good, but made up for by good organisation and atmosphere

In short: At least it wasn't another T-Shirt
In full: It's one of my fav races and the towel is a nice touch instead of a t-shirt that doesn't fix.

In short: We are R-U-N-N-E-R-S not skittles you numpty!
In full: Good race, on the whole well organised, just the odd roundabout where junctions were not marshaled and cars were trying to mow down runners willy nilly.

We are R-U-N-N-E-R-S not skittles you numpty!

Later on another car pulled out of a side road narrowly (and I mean narrowly) missing more runners.

There were a number of shouts of:

"Jolly heck, that's not cricket, go easy young man" (or not similar, words to that effect!)

I can't imagine what subsequently happened to his wing mirror?

What is it with car drivers in the area, it's Sunday morning, it's once a year, can't you just wait 5 minutes to let the mad runners past?

I like this race, the crowd is good, organisation is good, I like the towel (pink though, come on, what am I going to look like down the gym?), only the scenery could be improved upon, and it wouldn't take much to improve it, pretty much anything could improve it!

Oh yes and a good PB course, I took a whole 1:24 off my 10k PB here this year. Only 13 (long, hard, laborious) seconds to sub 40 mins 1k times.

Thanks to the Striders for a good one.

In short: Good but nothing special
In full: A good 10k, with PB potential.

Traffic was not too well controlled in places and annoyed drivers were weaving their way through a lot of runners.

The start funnelled into a narrow lane due to a parked car near the start mats !

Dull day. dull scenery.

On the plus side: mostly flat, plenty of parking, adequate toliets, decent towel momento, water station on a 10k, chip timing.

In short: Monogrammed towel and flowers at the end of a pleasant flat run.
In full: I love Spectrum Striders races for their cheery and well-organised races. The marshalls are always very friendly and encouraging. Having a chip means you have a more accurate (and flattering)idea of your time.

In short: Well organised, nice run out
In full: Enjoyed the run - scenery is just "Warrington" so nothing much to take your mind off the road but hey ho. Well organised, lots of car-parking, enough toilets if you know where to look. Traffic well-behaved from my place in the pack. Well done Spectrum Striders!
