In short: Better course - Good atmosphere and excellent organisation
In full: Mike - don't beat yourself up just because there are one or two minor complaints. You can always improve on any event and I you already know what to do! You'll never please everybody. The new route is 100% better. The chips allow for a steady safe start without everyone tripping over each other and the city centre section lets everyone sort out an early pace. The undulations make for a nice variation in the course and give your legs a rest (unlike the challenges og the Langdale half). The crowd cheery and marshals/water station assistants were excellent. This event will only go from strength to strength (please keep the course though). Good luck with next year. I'll be there with my wife and anyone else I can pursuade.

In short: Quite simply one of the best races on the calendar
In full: Once again a fantastic event made even better by the new outstanding course, loved every minute of it. great en route support, friendly marshals, excellent organisation and I personally don't think it was that hilly. Will definitely be back next year for another crack.

In short: Great getting into the countryside !
In full: I see some runners class it as hilly ! ?... I think it was mildly undulating, and I also expect a wee hill here and there in any 1/2 or full Marathon. Are there really totally flat 1/2 or full Marathons in Britain ?. Well organised, good communication by the Organiser, good crowds, and I would definately consider running it again.Braw !

In short: Well organised run through nice countryside
In full: This is a great, friendly event.
A little undulating for a PB, but a nice challenging run. Great scenery in the non-town parts of the run.
The organiser takes real pride in the race.
The finish was excellent - half a lap of running track and then your name announced as you cross the line - nice touch.
Great medal, nice t shirt from New Balance.
Definitely recommended!
