In short: A good well organised friendly 10 mile race which I would certainly recommnend In full: I rated it as average but that is perhaps a bit harsh. Exceptionally friendly competent marshals - well done to all concerned. Good facilities too, track finish and a nice tee short. Not your fault but public transport today a nightmare from London - set off at 5.00 from London - bus to Liverpool Street, then 3 (!) replacement bus trips to Stansted Airport, then Bishops Stortford, finally Harlow Town and a 2.5 mile jog to the venue to round it off. In short: a possible PB course on another day but not in this heat! In full: Last did this in 2005 and the course was substantially different although I did recognise old bits here and there. But it's definitely tougher than it used to be. Marshalls did a good job and they reacted well to the weather to make sure there was plenty of water. Remarkably traffic free course considering its only just of the A414. The heat put paid to any thought of a PB but it was still pretty enjoyable. Congrats to all who made the effort on a hot day. In short: Excellent race .. would not hesitate to recommend this one .. In full: Very pretty course, and the marshalls were brilliant lots of water stops and sponge stop .. tough with undulating hills and sooo hot today, so no PB for me Hmmm.. But i would definitely do it again if it were cooler weather .. My best time on a 10 miler is 1.42 so was a little disappointed with my time .. but it was 29deg out there today.. Well done to everybody who slogged it out ..

In short: Liked the course, which made good use of Harlow's cycle paths. The Marshalls were great and the track finish inside the stadium was a nice feature. Managed to go sub 70 mins for the first time in ages, despite the warm weather - well pleased! Date of review: August 9, 2005

In short: I did not see a distance marker until completing 3 miles - real pain! In full: Excellent facilities. Encouraging Marshalls. Mile markers were hidden or non existant - big negative for me. Date of review: August 8, 2005
