In short: great atmosphere
In full: the crowd were great (especially the band). Despite the large numbers I had no problems at the start, the end or at the water stations

Very expensive weekend though not only becuase of the entry fee, but also because no b&b's would accept a booking for one night.

In short: Great race again, managed PB this time
In full: Great race, managed it 12 minutes quicker than last year so really pleased. Toilet queues in Runners village too long, pity the ones under the grandstand were all locked unlike last year. Well organised race, will definitely try for the elusive 2 hour finish again next year.

In short: An excellent race, well organised and well supported
In full: Great race, better than last year's even. Thanks to the organisers for listening to our niggles last year and acting on them. The mile markers were much more visible this year. Drinks stations excellent and crowds very supportive. One slight problem my wife encountered supporting in Queen Square was that the barriers did not extend far enough past the Francis Hotel which meant that the crowds gradually moved forward into the road spoiling other peoples views and the marshalls there didn't do anything about it.
Definitely be back next year though, PB'd by 3 mins

In short: Overall well worth doing
In full: Got a pb so all good. The course ran well, loads of drink stations and well equipped, friendly marshals. A few niggles but not worth mentioning, after all it is a big race so these are to be expected.

In short: Good atmosphere and well marshalled...!
In full: Definately worth the 3hr drive but fingers crossed it doesn't clash again with Reading next year!!! Thanks to all those involved!

In short: Many good things-a few big niggles
In full: The good things first: excellent goodie bag; fantastic crowd support; good weather (very lucky with this); plenty of marshals and abundant water and lucozade. The not so good bits: huge queues for the toilets (and in one occasion what was euphemistically called a "toilet" was just a square shell of a room where people spent a penny on the ground!! Very crowded pens meant no pre-race warmup. Persistent website problem with full results list means you can only see the gun time on the website. How on Earth can this be the "official" time when the only accurate time for back packers is the chip time is beyond me. My Garmin registered my start to end time as 2:36:44 (a PB by 3mins and 4 seconds) but the "official" results give me as 2:42:58 (probably gun time, as it took me 6 minutes and 15 seconds of shuffling just to get to the starting line). A big thank you goes to the warm, enthusiastic, supportive crowds: they made my day.

In short: SU-PERB, timed pens much appreciated, loads of stations, beautiful route, generous goodies, why did the 1h45 pacer run at a 135 pace though ?

In short: Organisation let down local support
In full: It would not have taken too much effort to work out how many buses would be required to transport runner from the park and ride to the start. This might sound like a petty thing but it made me late and ruined my day. The local support was the only salvage.
