In short: Good run, great route, let down by the organisation at the water stations.

In short: Good race
In full: It was a good race, pretty well organised and with no problems. I would like to SHOUT about the number transfers that the organisers put in place - EXCELLENT idea! THANK YOU!
Too many times we hear of people changing numbers, running as others, even within established clubs - this has removed that problem by allowing a sensible transfer between those who entered and later couldn't run, and those who coudln't get in because the race was so popular, but wanted to run. PLEASE OTHER RACES TAKE NOTE - THIS MAKES SURE OF MAXIMUM ENTRIES AND NO ANNOYED RUNNERS!

In short: Fab race - first Sheffield half marathon I've done. The hilly route was challenging but certainly not difficult. Excellant organisation, lots of crowd support and an overall good route.

In short: A well organised race .
In full: My second attempt at this race. Was pleased at improving my time by 9 minutes compared to last year's attempt. Will be back again next year.

In short: Great race, very good course, excellent support
In full: From leaving the stadium to returning to it the race was great. Good number of drink stations (although both sides of the road would be better), interesting course (love running through the best bits of the city centre) and brilliant support. However the start was late and a bit of a free for all and after you'd finished the assistance from the stewards was poor. Safety barriers seemed to be more of a hazard than a help and I didn't appreciate having to walk up 20 steps and back down to get to the changing area just because some jobsworth didn't want me to walk on his bit of the track. Poor show from the stewards but I'll be back to this great run despite them.

In short: Well organised, well supported race
In full: This was my second year and I shaved over 10 mins off my (quite slow) time and 3 mins off current half marathon PB so I was really chuffed. Perfect weather - not as hot at last year.

It's incredibly well-organised and with loads of marshalls and supporters.

Key highlights for me were the (deliberately!?) out of tune brass band, well-meaners giving out Jaffa cakes in the last couple of miles and an awesome sprint finish by the team of lads dressed up as Super Mario characters!

In short: Great race, well organised and a new pb
In full: Great support all the way round, well marshalled and plenty of drink stations. Could do with a better PA system as you can't hear anything on the track waiting for the start. Will be back next year.

In short: Relatively flat 1/2 marathon with good support
In full: As a home race I was really looking forward to this race and it didn't let me down. Good support, great weather and a reasonably interesting course (although the last 3 miles is hard going).

Need water in bottles though, and energy drinks so late in the race is pointless.

Well done Sheffield - roll on GYR.
