In short: Just about enough marshalls, signage, drinks stations. I think some of the bogger City races could learn a thing or two from the Fire Station. Nice one!
In full: Travelled down from Surrey and really enjoyed the race. The hill at 5 miles was a bit overhyped. It was tough but really only lasted for around 0.5 mile. Nice course overall with good marshalling and friendly atmosphere. Results posted by 6pm - Good effort all round.

In short: very hilly with a 'big' one at 5 miles, lovely weather and friendly people, good one fire station!
In full: Feel like a veteran after completing this course. The hills started after 2 miles and continued every mile thereafter, including the big one at 5 miles, and back to smaller inclines at miles 7 and 8 etc. For my first half I felt a real sense of achievement at finishing and my 2hrs 1min respectable. Plenty of water stations and friendly marshalls. Excellent support at the finishing line. Might even be back next year!!

In full: Had a great day out, road race but countryside all the way. Hill at 5m is a bit wearing but nothing monstrous. Chap in a halloween skeletor costume had a great cheer. good facilities at the station, and lots of parking opposite, only a couple of people in the queue when i went for a last minute wee.

In short: Well organised, signposted and marshalled event. Plenty of water stations.
In full: Very well organised event, as were the 10k and 10 mile runs/races. Well signposted and plenty of water stations - I found it quite hot at times today ( quite unlike the Great South Run last Sunday ) so the water was very welcome.

Course undulates with a fairly long drag at 5 miles then a shorter steeper incline after 7 by Heale House. It was nice to run past the bottom of 'snakey' and not to have to go up it as ones does on the 10k course.
