In short: A fantastic day and place for a run.
In full: Loved the changing facilities in the baths, the shower was literally ice cold and took your breath away nearly as much as the uphills! The closest I've come to an ice bath however and think there is something to be said?

In short: This has the hardest start in the world!!. I will never forget looking up after 1 mile and seeing THAT HILL CLIMB!!! Amazing run and recommended to all. I'll be back next year
In full: What a fantastic half marathon. This took me right out of my comfort zone of the flat 13.1 mile run. Fantastic views when you were able to enjoy them. Really well organised with good parking and a lovely finish in the gardens. I will never forget that sight after around a mile of the HUGE hill climb in front! Good atmosphere all round. Well done Buxton. See you all there next year.....

In short: Views and scenery superb, especially the narrow valley after 5m. Excellent organisation, brilliant HQ at Pavilion Gardens. Would recommend this race to anyone.

In short: Not for the faint hearted but do-able
In full: I was a little confused when I arrived (as a 1st timer) where the start line was & there was no big clock so someone had to let me know my time at the end. The changing facilities were a bit dodgy, however overall the race was very scenic, friendly & (dare I say it) enjoyable. see you next year!

In short: BUXTON HALF - You will have to travel many miles to find better scenbery for a race
In full: A beautiful day out for everyone - Buxton has it all. The race itself was excellent and then a great place to chill out in the park afterwards with family and friends. Had to laugh at the painted 'SLOW' sign in the raod at mile 7 (what a hill!) !!

In short: First attempt at his one, unusual in its 5.30pm start, tough hilly course, byt extremely scenic with little traffic to contend with. Sparse crowds but those that were out there were great at cheering runners on. Would definitely do again.
