AS for the gripes regarding the official parking - you cann't have it both ways. It was near the start and I enjoyed the mile walk back from the finish after running 10K

In short: The people of Lincoln turned out in force
In full: This was my first time at Lincoln and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was flat and definite PB potential though I missed mine by 20secs.Nice atmosphere around the course and excellent through the castle area though those cobbles are a bit wearing after 9 1/2km !
Will definitely be back next year

In short: A fun day out with a top atmosphere
In full: This was my first major run & I think I can safely say that I enjoyed it very much. The people was great the atmosphere was great & it was well organised. And on top of that the scenery around the major part of the run what with the historic castle & Cathedral was a pleasure to the eye.

In short: Great day, great race, great support
In full: My fourth time at Lincoln and it didn't dissapoint. The race started on time on a beautiful day and there was a nice buzz among the runners. th eorganisers have taken note of comments about the shambles at the finish in previous years and we were guided into funnels and handed our goody bags, much better. The local people came out to offer their support which was really nice. Only two minor gripes though! People obviously lined up in the wrong time zones, my friend and I were in the sub 70 and we were having to run past walkers within the first few kms, we did it in 65 by the way, please people be honest with yourselves!! I know we are in a recession but there was nothing in the goody bag apart from the medal and a space blanket, even a pack of sweets would have been nice. But I will be back next year, thanks Lincoln.

In short: Flat, fast course with plenty of support.
In full: First time racing in Lincoln and found it a fast course with no hills. The support was excellent and there were people out along the whole length of the course.
Cobbles harder than expected!
You get herded quite quickly through the castle and the parking is a fair walk from the finish.
Definitely worth doing

In short: Great support and atmosphere
In full: A great day. The support all the way around the course was superb. The finish is beautiful and a great atmosphere around the castle due to the stalls, food, pubs and runners all mixing well.
Will bring the family next time. Only grumble was the car parking, took an hour + to leave the car park and an hour journey home. I ache after sitting in the car for so long!!! Thanks tho enjoyed it
