In short: Very hilly but managed to smash my PB!
In full: I was disappointed that the course was changed from last year as I was hoping for a PB however through hard work, I took nearly a minute off my previous best. I was very happy.

Regarding the race, I can understand the concerns about the start but it would only have been for the first few minutes of the race then after that it was a lovely run through the countryside. Liked the drinks stop that could be used 4 times and the number of marshalls (lots of encouragement too)

Got a nice little prize at the end of the race too, thank you.

In short: Not sure that I like the new course better than the old one, still good fun.
In full: The new course is undulating where as the old one was dead flat. I thought the first drink station before 2 miles was a bit early. Now a chalanging 10 miles than the pb course from before. Many thanks to the marshals.

In short: Great route with lots of undulations!
In full: It is a good course but the same as the 10k and half marathon courses. Lots or marshals on most of the route with good vocal support.

In short: Good course, but need to sort out the first 1/2 mile.
In full: Good course once it got going, but having to have 100's of runners on a pavement at the start was ridiculous. Having a road closure for 10mins would have been much better. No obvious start line and need proper chip timing. A good rural course and I ran the 2nd half 3mins faster, so pleased with the time. Good marshalling and very encouraging too. Good event centre and parking. Need a few bogs at the start. Mediocre medal. Just need to sort the start out and I'd definately return.

In short: Nice run through undulating lanes
In full: Nice run through undulating lanes. Using the same water station 4 times on a criss crossing route was nice. Well orgainsed race, start was a bit cramped but after 400m its nice quiet lanes.

In short: Well worth the effort
In full: Apart from the start, this was a very enjoyable race. The new route is more challenging, but really worth it. It was well organised. Thank you.
