In short: What happened to the T Shirts?!
In full: Tough race, well run - until the end when they had no T shirts for us except extra large - despite having entered in plenty of time and ordering my size and paying for it!!Think there were lots of complaints - needs sorting guys please.

In short: A really good test - add 15 mins to your usual Marathon time just for the hills and the mud!

In short: better organised than last year (it was my idea for the t-shirt hand out) losts of lovely mud and i manged to fall in that puddle - i have been past it on a training run so i should have known how deep it was!
In full: still beaten by the first lady (again !!) but did improve a couple of places on last year.
if paul can get the school to turn the heat on for the showers and order enough tee shirts (you didn't pay enough attention to your maths teacher at school paul!!) next year should merit 100% organisation from all next year.

In short: A tough enjoyable race
In full: Make no mistake this is a tough race. I made the schoolboy error of wearing multi terrain shoes instead of off-road ones and this made it much harder on the very undulating and muddy course. A nice friendly race with good cameraderie from other runners all the way round.

Lots of half-marathoners to overtake in the second half which was both encouraging and wearying. Despite the narrow tracks everyone without exception good-naturedly moved aside for me when they knew I was 'coming through'.

Great marshalling, plenty of drinks and even a few much appreciated jelly babies. Well signposted and organisation pretty good given the complicated logistics of this type of event. The medal is excellent and feels well-earned.

My only quibble was the cold shower at the end. It was warmer in the rain!

In short: Excellent race.
In full: Flawless organisation, excellent course that was only improved by the inclement weather. This must be one of the best events in the country, surely.

In short: I have yet to run in a better event
In full: I ran the half marathon this year and enjoyed the fact that I knew where the hills were - it didn't make it easier though. I think the course had every type of mud possible and my running socks will never be the same again.

This continues to be a brilliantly organised race and I hope to run it for many years to come.
