In short: Well that was a challenge
In full: As an overweight large person who will not see 58 again I was more than a bit alarmed to see so many fit young athletes warming up

Still mud, sand and water is a great leveller and this was great fun. Would recommend to anyone who prefers X country to road running

Lovely variety of mud and the rain (and mini tornado) just made it more playful

Hoping to be clean by a week next Thursday

In short: Mud glorious mud.
In full: This was my first turbo x - I have to say i didnt expect as much mud and boggy areas so early on, however, I still really enjoyed the whole thing. Great atmosphere and a really enjoyable challenge. I would certainly give it another go next year...

In short: Has anyone mentioned the mud?
In full: The last turbo x I did was in May. November weather made the whole experience significantly harder but still just as much fun. This course has it all: I particularly enjoyed sliding down hills on my bottom into the next bit of swamp. Getting the mud out of my kit will be a another challenge :)

In short: They weren't joking when they said mud up to your waist!
In full: Infact they may have been underestimating it a bit, I got mud up to my chest...

Brilliant race, hilarious mud, weather, bogs, water, slippery slopes and falling over.

Really had fun and laughed most of my way round. Great organisation, amazing marshals, great atmosphere with other runners (thanks to the two gents who pulled me out of the bog!). Would definitely run again!!

In short: I need to be in a dry warm place for the rest of today...
In full: That was pretty extreme. First some large puddles then gale forces wind and rain. Then those swamps. Done my knee in a bit. But was good race.
Cheers

In short: Did anyone find my car keys?
In full: Brilliant race. Dismiss all thoughts of a PB. Wear somebody else's kit. Course was tough but enough breathing space between challenging sections to make it manageable. X Zone at 8 miles was a real slog and I imagine tougher for anyone at the back after the downpours and churning of 1100 pairs of feet. Stewards and other competitors were helpful and made the event real fun.
One favour: add mile markers next time please.
