In short: Truly spectacular scenery, atmosphere and route. In full: Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The route is truly spectacular, with wonderful views of the countryside. The views, from Leith Hill in particular - you run a route that takes in the sights of Wembley Stadium in one direction and Brighton (through the haze!) in the other, with lots of lovely countryside in between.
The route is challenging, with tricky ground in many places.
This is my second Trionium race, and Dr Rob has doen a great job of organising. He even made the sun shine all the time for the race. Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Fun in the sun In full: Another triumph from Dr Rob.
I've raced the Leith Hill Half a couple of times so I (half) knew what I was letting myself in for. The 3rd quarter (from the turn back up to Leith Hill) seemed the hardest - maybe 20-30K of a marathon always is though.
I love the out and back nature of this event as its great to be able to see, and give a wave/thumbs up/grunt to one another. Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: A wonderful 26.2 miles of ups & downs mitigated by spectacular scenery. In full: A must-do 26.2 simply for the scenery. Throw in the arduous route, excellent organisation, clear signage, hymn singing, free coffee/tea at registration, jelly-babies, tech-T-shirt with your name on it, race number with your name on it, tech hat, superb medal, cooked breakfast (sadly I can't quite stomach this afterwards!), plenty of public support and camaraderie of fellow suffers then this is one of the very TOP marathons in the UK. All for £40. big bargain. when is entry for Picnic Dr.Rob?? Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Gutted that I missed the time cut off In full: Although I didn't make the time cut off and just did the half, I still got a big cheer at the finish, a special "half" momento and all the race goodies. The organisers made sure we still felt like we'd achieved something great. Date of review: October 24, 2011
