In short: SUPER! In full: WOW WOW WOW! Dr. Rob has done it yet again: My 3rd time on this very challenging course and, again, I found the whole event such a most enjoyable one! Perfect weather & trail conditions though I did miss a bit of mud today!!! As always with Dr. Rob's events, the marshals were simply great, most encouraging, motivating, with big and friendly smiles. Super feeding/drinks stations, plenty of Jaffa cakes, jelly babies, Maltesers etc. etc. This fabulous trail run is an absolute 'must' for any trail runner, be it a fast or slow one. I know already that I will return, to do it all again, steps, 'Lethal Hill', the lot! Here's to next year! Thank-you Dr. Rob and your fantastic little helpers, for giving us all such a brilliant event.
In short: Greensand Glorious In full: Another fantastic event organised by Rob and his team , really fantastic but realistically tough trail route out and back, because it was autumn you get some amazing scenary for the entry . The Surrey Hills are beautiful this time of year and weather conditions in 2014 were also perfect for marathon running . Brilliant marshals who were both highly encouraging and polite to all the tired runners giving us a real positive boost when we needed it - thank you !
In short: Like a re-enactement of the Somme. The thought of the cooked breakfast pulled me through. In full: Awesome race. Not for the faint hearted. Beautifully organised, but could we have less rain next year please. Date of review: October 16, 2013
In short: Mud, Rain, Slime, Mega-puddles but I still did a PB for the course :) In full: My knees and hips cant do 26m so I'm vey happy to get another bite at the 'LHH'. This is a course that rewards good training, and I love it. Its my longest run since aug12 when I tore my Achilles, and I did a PB, so I would be smug of course :) I might even have beaten the 1st lady if I hadn't gone aot in one of those puddlakes !
