In short: One of the best Half Marathons around. Superb organisation, Great Support, Excellent Coursee
In full: Having raced many half marathons up and down the country I can safely say this race has to be at the top of my list. I’ve competed in it for many years and it gets better every year. The organisation is excellent, the support superb and the goody bag keeps growing. This years bottle of Half Marathon Ale was the best yet.

It’s not the quickest race, with the hilly section in the middle, but once past the 11 mile mark you know it’s down hill all the way to the finish. This fact helps both tired legs and mind. Once over the line it’s back to the clubhouse for tea and biscuits or something a little stronger if required.

Great race well done Helsby!!!

In short: Excellent race, well organised and with lots of support. I'll be back!
In full: Another excellent Helsby half. I really like the park and ride, especially as you don't have to wait in the cold to get on a coach. Just the chance to sit down on a nice soft seat in a warm coach after the race deserves plaudits, I'd say!
The support on the race route was great and really helped. I loved the last 2 miles, which were downhill, - great for making you feel you're doing an, ahem, 'sprint' finish, even if you're a bit of a plodder like me.
Lovely friendly tea and biscuit ladies back at the clubhouse afterwards, too.
All in all, a fab event!

In short: Brilliantly organised and quite challenging(especailly between miles 8 and 11). Good atmossphere.
In full: It has to be said that this race was organised with military precision. The park and ride scheme ran like clockwork and was a big success. The camraderie and atmosphere was really good. The hills between 8 and 11 miles were quite tough(for me anyway),more training needed there for me I think. A good day out. The free beer, however, tasted like the homebrew my grandad used to make...I'm sure there was a toenail or something in mine.

In short: faultless organisation and all round a great race
In full: Park and ride worked well with no waits at either end. The drink stations were plentyful and the young people 'manning' the stations were encouraging and cheery. Marshals helpful. Thanks to everyone involved for a great day.
