In short: Big City Feel to a really great half marathon. In full: Liverpool has arrived! Everything went like clockwork, water stations spot on, crowd were great. The best Liverpool half yet, grandstand at finish very noisy. Well done to everyone connected. Date of review: March 27, 2011

In short: Another good renewal of the Liverpool half In full: Having taken part in this event in 2009, I knew what to expect. The rise in the entry threshold however made getting a good spec at the start problematic, and I had to fight my way through to get to the pacing group I was running in. Despite that, and the failure of my GPS watch, meant I had a quick but measured early section.
I am used to using carb gels in races now, but today I felt sick for a large part of the race. But I put that down to not having milk with my porridge at seven. Pacing without a watch is tough, and there were many times when thought my legs would pack in.
The crowd as usual in Liverpool cheered for everyone, especially the children, hopefully the next generation of runners. Made it to the end, in a massive PB of sub 1:22, so very happy but tired. Bring on the Brighton marathon In two weeks, and the liverpool marathon in october.
