In short: Fantastic trail course with great wooded section In full: An excellent trail race with great scenery. Running through the woods in Stockgrove made my day. The marshals were professional and the event was very enjoyable.
Looking forward to running this again next year! Date of review: November 21, 2010
In short: The challenge was worth it. In full: A refreshing change from the normal clubby road race type of event. Friendly feel, good organisation and a fantastic course. Although I carried a map and instructions as advised I didn't need them as the course was well marked and there were plenty of people to follow. Overall a very enjoyable morning out. In short: Lovely scenery, challenging course, good organisation In full: Great new race, good course with mix of fast canal side paths, and off road trails with one killer climb in the middle. Having said it's no good for PBs I only narrowly missed mine thanks to the very fast canal paths so quicker than it seemed at the time. Will definitely try and do next year. In short: Easy run with one steeple hill and an intro to trails In full: The start was a bit random but from the middle of the bunch I was suprised how flowing the race was - squeezing 500+ runners onto a Tow Path with a mile of a start sounded mad but work OK. Despite the info to the contrary, the course was well marshalled and marked. Add some mile markers and it would have been as good as any other race. Having the start at a large school meant plenty of proper loos and lots of warm space to wait for the start. A good around experience. Would definately come back. Date of review: November 20, 2010
