In short: You did Southport proud guys !
In full: Well done to all concerned, especially liked the "howling" at the beginning and the starting record "Who let the dogs out" set me off with a smile on my face. Hope to see you all next year x Cathy

In short: Excellent event for all abilities
In full: Despite a headwind from the beach in the first 5K, this flat route was good under foot, very well marshalled with a decent water station between 5 and 6K. Chip timed and very professional and friendly with good onsite facilities. An amazing goody bag, medal, teeshirt and welcome awaited everyone at the end. I really appreciated all the encouragement from the marshalls who shouted runners on and gave them approx distance to go. Lovely race will definitely recommend it to friends.

In short: Killer headwind but great sense of achievement at the end
In full: First 5k into extraordinary headwind. Felt like crying - still, made the second half feel like a breeze! Didn't help that it was just along a flat unchanging landscape - was convinced that the pier just kept moving further away! Still - all of that can't be helped.

Adrian went to real trouble to fit us in at the very last minute and we were really grateful.

The marshalls were fab - especially having to stand there in that weather - they must have been freezing. The organisation and value for money were exceptional.

No PB this time, but definate potential. We'll be back to do it again.

Thanks guys!

In short: fast & more importantly flat!
In full: Excellent organisation, superb facilities, massage at end a real treat. Wind horrendous but still managed a PB, could have done few minutes faster without the 40mph headwind so the PB potential is definitley there for everyone. Course nice and flat. Would definitley do again - well done to the organisers!!!!

In short: scenic, fast, super-friendly and amazingly well-organised.
In full: The route was scenic and interesting all the way round, with plenty of marshals (who - contrary to an earlier review - I found to be very friendly and encouraging!).
Amazingly well organised and a great goody bag.

In short: Loved running along side the beech! Ok yes a lot of wind, but it helped cool me down. Orgainisers and Marshalls should be very proud of their efforts! Roll on next year!
