In short: Mud ! Mud ! Glorious Mud !
In full: Running for a couple of hours through bogs and rivers should not be that fun !! What a brilliant event, me and my mate were laughing all the way around, loved every minute of it, although making us think we had to go back up the very first hill again at the end was a tad cruel!!

In short: Hard, hilly, muddy, swampy, insane fun
In full: A hard 12 mile trail race with hills & swamps. But it feels so much more than that with the atmosphere. Totally bonkers!!
Could do with more marshals on the route, as several arrow signs had blown away, & route confusing when this happens.
Everyone has to try this one once. I'll be back next year.

In short: Excellent organisation, fantastic atmosphere, one hell of a challeng.
In full: What a race! Hard as nail's, a reall challenge. Forget about your time here. Great atmosphere, well organised and a great t-shirt and goody bag.

In short: Second year and bigger bogs!! Excellent event
In full: A really good event, and I will keep coming back for more! The only issues were an annoying marshall on a mountain bike who insisted on trying to ride through runners down a single track, and the monster queue for the goody bag. Not enought to but me off though and I will be back.

In short: Good fun, and some hard running. The only downside is the the lack of showerr facilities. You do get very very dirty, I would have welcomed a blast from a hose pipe before getting back into the car.

In short: Hardest event I've ever done but the best by a long way !
In full: Fantastic race - loved it. Relentless and punishing course but great fun. Friendly people and decent organisation. Bath and a shower but still muddy. Too shattered to construct sentences properly !

In short: Really enjoyed this hellish run
In full: Not exactly hell to run. I found this course had a good balance of hills, trails, bogs and water as well as wider forest roads to get back into your running stride.
This my first attempt at hellrunner and I was not disappointed.

In short: Dirty, stinky, tough tough fun
In full: Never a race for a pb but I wanted to beat my time for last year but didn't, so for me, a disappointing race. A challenging course but such an exhilarating feeling when you cross the finish line. Everyone should give it a go at least once. Nice goody bag, but the ladies 'large' t-shirts are always so tiny
