In short: Lots of marshals with good signposts
In full: Loads of toilets at the start, but never made it inside the main hall (the missus says bacon sandwich was good). Lots of marshals on the course, KMs were well marked (and seemed accurate to me) and even the water station at 7KM was advised in advance - good thinking.

I'm sure the organisers would have arranged less wind & rain if that were possible, but if you're racing in November, then what are people expecting? As for the parking, that was forewarned on the website (I parked near the finish, as opposed to the start, making for a really quick exit).

And I liked the chocolate medal - I really don't need another T Shirt and for £5 the race represents good value (I'm sure that I saw some people with mugs - were these optional/payable extras?)

In short: Scenic and enjoyable but hilly and 'that wind' spoilt a good route
In full: A tough hilly race on a cold windy day (it even rained a bit).... Not one for the PB records, but one for a countryside view.

Well organised, with enough toilets and refreshments. Shame there wasn't a longer lasting memento... a chocolate soon disappeared!

Would be better to stage in October (probably better weather).

In short: Superbly organised race.
In full: Exellent marshalling and facilities. The course is reasonably testing with a nice hill start. The wind wasn't really a factor until we hit about 6kms, then it really hit. A fine race, look forward to next year.

In short: well organised local race, good mix of abilities & scenary
In full: This was the second year I ran this race & will no doubt be back next year. It was well marshalled and the cource gives a variety. But please next year, no more chocolate medals, what was that all about?

In short: Race OK but day ruined at finish by being manhandled by marshall.
In full: Reasonable race, easier than expected (hills not as big as people suggest) parking diabolical, marshalling during race pretty good. However day ruined by being manhandled by steward when sprinting across the line at full tilt - to stop me passing someone in the line. Lucky not to be injured. Arrogant rude Chief steward seemed to think this was reasonable and I was in the wrong. Also thought this was an adult race- so why a chocolate medal? Pathetic, I won't be back.

In short: Enjoyable, demanding course.
In full: Quite a challenge on a fairly blustery morning. A possible PB course. Well organized and frienly efficient marshalls. Good value for money.

In short: Good course, but what about the medal!!!
In full: Really nice route, quite scenic. A few cars but well marshalled so no real problems there. Undulating, but still PB potential. Only big disappointemnt was no momento to show for all the hard work everyone had put in to running the race. A drink and a chocolate bar!!! Considering there were 650 enteries a more lasting momento should have been given.

In short: Nice race in peaceful surroundings. Bit hilly but ok for first 10K
In full: This was my first 10K and although a bit hilly, was reasonably fast - what goes up must come down! Ability was mixed. You get a bottle of drink afterwards but no other goodies (unless I missed them). Seemed pretty well organised with marshalls, markers, water etc. Will be going again in 2005.
