In short: Good race, bit crowded at the start, but it didn't cause me any problems.
In full: My second year to do this one, 2 challenging hills hills at 4 and 7 miles and various smaller "undulations" along the way. I managed a PB today :-) so I'm happy. I'll be back to do this one again next year.

In short: Great race, scenic gently undulating route. Everyone very friendly, marshalls and runners alike.
In full: Great race and would definitely do it again. Very pretty route.

Other people have complained about the slow, crowded start. I queued up by the 90-100 minute "start line", only to find no-one behind me and everyone else crowded down by the official start line. I then had to spend the first few miles of the race over-taking slower people. If everybody was honest and queued up where they should have been, it wouldn't have been such a problem.

In short: A bit pricey but very pleasant and well organised
In full: Turned up with 30 min to go and there was still plenty of parking inside the school. Queues for the toilets but there were plenty of portaloos so even turning up late like me you still had a chance to use them. Joined the back of the pack at the start and though it was a bit congested that was fine for a 90 minute 10-miler like me. Couple of hills but overall fairly undulating. Very well marshalled. Some bits were a bit slippery but with freezing temperatures overnight that's to be expected.

In short: £13 for a medal bottle of.water and pen, plenty of pot holes which you can not see due to the narrow lane 1/2 mile after start, with black ice on most bends ,lack of marshalls for the last 1/2 mile cars heading towards you on narrow road

In short: Enjoyable race, shame about the facilities
In full: Enjoyed the race (even if my Asics had gone past their best!)

However the let down was the facilities, changing rooms had more water in them than lake windermere. Toilets were few and far between, gathered large queues and were in seriously bad condition. Main hall was cramped & no chance of finding somebody after you had lost them.

In short: Well organized and nice touches especially 5 Mile split times
In full: Will definately do again and will try and get better place in the 1st 2 mile or so pack as you have no choice in the pace you run really but other than that, beautiful scenery and a Monster Hill after a lovely downhill into Bridge. It's kept my quadriceps humming all week

In short: Well organised & enjoyable race with friendly marshalls
In full: It was a gorgeous sunny day, perfect for running, through charming Kent countryside. A challenging hill at 4 miles did not seem to upset anyone. You felt great once you reached the top. The atmosphere was good & the organisation great.

In short: Nice enough course, only one hill really worth mentioning and nice fast downhill 2 miles to finish
In full: I do feel I'm a bit stingy rating this an average race, but i'd hesitage to really rate it 'special' either.
Good race is what I'd say overall, I haven't raced enough to know if an 'average' race is as good as this ;-)
I quite like the course, a bit exposed and windy at places and that hill at mile 4 takes the PB potential of this race a notch down, but it's keeping you interested with a few undulations so that's not a bad thing either. Being truthfully told by the marshall at mile 8 "it's downhill now to te finish" does make you feel like pushing it.
Big sporthal as race HQ so close to the start is convenient, lots of portaloos definately appreciated by all.
Good work IEK
