In short: Well organised, friendly and nice goody bag to finish!
In full: I wasn't sure whether I would like the 'laps' format for a 20 miler, but it did help break the race up nicely. The route, although sometimes on busy-ish roads, was a nice mix of inclines and flat, and the marshals were very friendly (especially the lady at mile 4 who was jumping and clapping for the whole race - really encouraging!). Some good quality runners doing the rcae, but a nice mix of ability. A great pre-London race. The goody bags were excellent - and I was so impressed the water in them was lovely and cold (considering the heat of the day) - all in all a really nice race.

In short: Good prep for FLM
In full: The 4 laps were good for pacing but I did start to get a bit down when the front runners went flying past me. (I need some of what they've got!).And passing the finish 3 times and seeing everyone that had already fininshed made me feel as if I was the last one out there. Loved the band and a the happy dancing lady marshal. Sponges water and orange all good, and a nice medal and goodie bag. As always more loos needed.

In short: Great day needed perhaps more water in places due to hot weather but the sponges were a nice touch.

In short: Hard work - excellent marshalls
In full: My first 20 miler in prep for FLM was as hard as expected with some lovely blisters to carry me through the week. Mentaly, very hard going past the finish when so many runners have already finished, but that must be a good thing for the marathon. Plenty of water and plenty of support from the marshalls, particularly the dancing lady at the bottom of the hill at 4 miles!

In short: Good organisation...bit confusing with mile markers..
In full: ...but with 4 x5mile laps to monitor understandable...be interested to know how the race stewards monitored anyone taking an early finsh!!! (ie coming off at 3 laps!!)

In short: Excellent build up to London. Marshalls great!
In full: Special mention to the lady marshall on the right at small junction in mile 5 (I think). She was bouncing up and down the whole time shouting encouragement. I reckon she used up as much energy as most of the runners.

In short: The fourth lap really was a killer with blisters the size of Britain.
In full: The 4 lap setup isn't bad apart from mentally keeping on for that last lap. Good marshalls, sponges provided which were a blessing in the heat. Cups of water ever 2.5 miles and orange every lap. I liked the cups because I hate running with bottles and feel it's a huge waste, but if you didn't want to slow up through the water stations, the cups would slop everywhere. The band at mile 3.5ish was a nice touch.
