In short: Scenic run on a glorious spring morning
In full: First couple of miles a bit crowded and I was held up at the first road crossing at 3 miles to let cars pass which probably added a minute to my time but as it's not a PB course it wasn't a problem.
The course is one of the nicest halves I've done (but not the fastest)
Organisation was very good, thanks to all the marshalls and the youngsters manning the water stations.

In short: Good choice
In full: All my friends were trying to persuade me to do the bath half with them, but after looking at the reports on runners world I think i was the one who made the right choice. By the sounds of it this run was everything that bath wasn't... it started bang on time, excellent organisation and friendliness, great parking zones, great course, great scenery, nice medal, nice t-shirt, oh and although there was a diversion to get there on to day, the diversion signs (all the way from chepstow) were fantastic! We (4 of us)travelled a long way but all agreed it was one of our best events to date. Thanks to all concerned

In short: warm and friendly atmosphere with support the whole way round
In full: Only my third race but this half was thoroughly enjoyable. The weather couldn't have been better and the support throughout was fantastic. The organisation was very good and the course well marshalled.

In short: Well organised, beautiful sceanery around the forest plus cracking weather!!!
In full: Not a p/b course but still pretty quick, plenty of rolling inclines to get the legs pumping (reminded me very much of wyre forest 1/2 marathon). Wonderful scenic course with supportive marshall's through out, great free leg massage at the end, plus really liked the special T-shirt for the top 50 men & women back, very nice touch. Only small gripe was not enough toilets at start (but isn't the same every where, lol) & poor sign posting for spectators from start to finsh, but they ammended that during the day. Overall a great run.

In short: Mildly challenging trail course, smoothly run and friendly race.
In full: Not a PB course in comparison to the pancake flat city half-marathons, but a quick time is possible. The quality of the trail course was mostly excellent apart from the first couple of miles because of forestry work but we were warned about that in fairness. Would have liked a bit more than a medal and carton of Ribena post race for my money, but it was a really enjoyable early spring race in fabulous weather.
