In short: Could a 20 mile event get any better? In full: This is a fantastic event! The scenery is wonderful, the marshalls are friendly and encouraging. There are more than enough well manned water stations. There are a few climbs, but only the final hill is worth worrying about. We travelled from Essex to Norfolk for this one, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day, and we will definitely be back next year. Well done to all those involved in organising todays event.
p.s. Could someone please apologise to the womens under 18s football team for my walking into their changing room at half time of their match to try and use their showers ;) Date of review: March 5, 2006

In short: Scenic two-lap race mainly on quiet country roads with glorious wintry sunshine. In full: Returned after 2005 and enjoyed this year's event even more. To me, the course is reasonably flat, the norfolk countryside is very attractive and peaceful (apart from an irate driver who seemed upset with the race causing him to wait!, and hearing a full-blown argument reverbriating from a farmhouse that seemed to get loader as I got further away!!);friendly competitors (I ran the whole race next to a complete stranger and forgot to even introduce ourselves), and the marshalls (like Bury last week) were wonderfully encouraging in the cold. The weather was glorious but the wind had an arctic feel to it when it got going.
This is the quintessence of a friendly/low-key/village event that welcomes everyone and you're made to feel special as you cross that finish-line. Thanks to Wymondham AC - will be back in 2007 Date of review: March 5, 2006

In short: Two undulating (especially for Norfolk) laps, friendly village atmosphere, excellent marshalling and signposting In full: The twenty-miler and ten-miler (which has a slightly later start) intersect after a few miles, which was cheering as it brought some more company. The second half of the race was quite lonely at times. There was good camaraderie at the finish line. The race was picturesque and the weather bright and sharp. You have to like Norfolk winds, though. Date of review: March 5, 2006

In short: Lovely scenic 20 miles, and very very flat so excellent first race for this sort of distance and fantastic pre-marathon build up run since its not too challenging on the old legs. Date of review: March 18, 2005
