In short: Well done Stoke!!
In full: For a city that has clearly seen hard times in recent years the people of the Potteries showed their pride and provided some outstanding support. I hope we provided a modicum of enjoyment for them with our hot heaving bodies passing through their neighbourhoods!! A hard run even on a cool day...perhaps more water stations...offset by the hosing down. Many thanks for a tiring but satisfying day.

In short: The most challenging on-road half to date!
In full: I think you might choose to run this half primarily for two reasons: the challenge; good training for those PB potential, flat terrain offerings. Not much of a fanfare with this one - just get on your way and good luck! Plenty of support from the people of stoke, bless em, and actually, I needed it. One quibble: no medal - instead a plate. apparently if you got a clock time of under two hours you got one. I got a clock time of 2:01 and but a chip time well under - admittedly we set off late - so no medal.

In short: A challenging course on a warm day. The people of Stoke came out in force to provide very special support. The ceramic plate, t-shirt and medal for finishing the race were very good. I'll be back next year.
