In full: Very well organised with plenty of parking. Toilet and other facilities spot on. Nice start and finish area. Drinks at finish a little crwded because of the heat. Nice to have a walk back to the car park to stretch out the legs. Well done to the marshalls etc who were excellent. Nice touches through out.

In short: nice run in the countryside
In full: nice race mostly traffic free, through countryside, slightly hilly, felt water stations were too far spread out, weather very hot, addition of some sponges would have helped.

In short: Phew! What a scorcher...
In full: Too hot for me. as the cramps set in at about mile 10 and had to walk part way, hobble, stagger etc etc. Lovely start/fininsh in the school grounds which made it a relaxed atmosphere for the family, ie childrens play area and a swimming pool which was a very welcome surprise after a tough run. Could have done with a Mars Bar or other chocolate related product to fend off the hunger. Will be back next year.

In short: Absolutely love this race for the scenery and fun - it's a beautiful shady race - perfect if you like to hit the trails, but not the mud.
In full: Absolutely love this race for the scenery - it's a beautiful shady race - perfect if you like to hit the trails, but not hit the mud. A number of challenging hills make this a tough race for a PB. Really well marshalled and great organisation. My only caveat is that it was tough to find the car park from the M40 - very little signage. Otherwise, brilliant!

In short: I do like this race.
In full: A great, runners, half-marathon. It's a bit undulating and twisty in places, so not ideal for a really fast run. But it's a very pleasant run on country roads and tarmac by-ways within Burnham Beeches. The organisation is excellent. It's a fair walk to/from the car-park, so take a bag with everything (including swimming stuff for the pool afterwards), there is secure storage.
There is a tricky short, steep slope up, just after the start & back down just before the finish. Also watch mile 11.5-12.5 is a bit hilly, so be prepared for a tough finish.

In short: Lovely location and well organised
In full: A personal nightmare as the heat took it's toll, but the race itself was well organised and in a lovely location. My only criticism would be that I thought the first drink station was undermanned and not very efficient (2nd was OK), and that the drinks at the finish was also undermanned - 1 lady attempting to pour cups one at a time because the wind was blowing the cups away if she laid them out. I think in those temperatures another drink table a few yards away for people wanting more would have been a good idea. Would love it if this was an Autumn or Spring race.

In short: Undulating/hilly, 2 laps. Shady route
In full: Just after the start there is a very short but very steep grassy bank which would slow most of us, but only briefly. Route is made up of tarmac lanes mostly shaded by tall trees which kept most of the sun off us. Some quite steep hills and some nice long downhills. Drinks every 3 miles. Marshals were fantastic and very encouraging, specially on the second loop! More or less twice round the same route, I was lapped by the winners just before my second time round. Second loop was the killer. Really sapped the energy as it was such a hot day. Last mile mainly uphill and then one of those grassy circuits of the field before the finish. Great tea & cakes on sale. Use of the school pool which was perect temperature and very refreshing. Great race!

In short: Slightly hot and hilly but worth travelling to
In full: I thought the course was lovely and the organisation superb - started bang on 10am and no scrambling for a spot near the front for faster runners. The hills were hard work - particularly 2nd time round.
Only points I would make were bottles of water are much easier to drink than cups- and were needed in that heat! Better signs from the car park to the start would be helpful (we missed the turning and had to walk back)!
However - I would do it again!
