In short: Faultless, again ! In full: My second go at this race and again it was brilliant. Finished with a smile on my face which grew bigger when I saw I had taken 5 seconds off my PB!. I'll be back next year. Date of review: March 22, 2009

In short: Cracking race. In full: Great organisation - on a warm day they even thought to put the biggest climbs in shady spots! Did the Bath Half last week (my first) but this is the one I would do again - half the price, twice as easy to get to, a friendly welcome and the hills at least give you some variety from a relentless plod along the flat. It might not be an easy course for beginners but you couldn't find a more friendly and supportive bunch of people to be running with. Date of review: March 22, 2009

In short: The most enjoyable race of my life In full: Congratulations to the organisers! Everything about the race was brilliant; challenging course, breathtaking scenery, faultless organisation, enthusiastic support...... and topped off with some fine home baking. Thoroughly recommend this race to everyone.
p.s. I realise many people won't agree with my assessment of the PB potential, but I was enjoying myself so much today that I ran 5 mins under my (admittedly average) PB. :)

In short: The best small hilly half marathon around!! In full: This is the second Hogweed Hilly I've run and I was a good ten and a half minutes faster than last time. Only 2 mins off my PB. Saying that it is very undulating and with a big hill at 8 miles pacing yourself is must. The attention to detail at the HH is excellent with individually numbered race bags, friendly marshalls and views that help take your mind off the pain. Wrll done the Trotters this is a great event. In short: Yes it's hilly and steep, but it's hilly and steep up and down. In full: Loads of parking, only a few minutes off the M4. Once there tea and cakes plus changing and bag storage, music playing and loads of staff. The course is hilly but hilly on the decent too. Scenery is fantastic and you're right in amongst it too. Atmosphere is great. A quality race and it's no wonder that it's in it sixth year in 2010. Date of review: March 22, 2009

In short: Come on everyone- you are missing a real treat! In full: My third time back for this wonderful race and it comes up with the goods every time. Yes, it's hilly, but that's the challenge, and the scenery can make you forget all the hard work. The marshalling is excellent, everything is thought of, with a lovely village atmosphere prevailing at the finish with tons of excellent home prepared food on offer. Come on everyone- you must do this one next year. Date of review: March 22, 2009
