In short: Friendly well-organised run with impressive local support In full: I had heard that this was a pretty flat and fast course, so I was surprised that it was actually quite undulating, but overall a pleasant race and a good experience. Very well organised, except for the beginning which was very congested. I also think it might be a good idea to indicate which side the water will be distributed, for the water stations that were not on both sides. I was quite impressed that so many spectators turned up for a relatively small, local race - that was really nice. The 10:30am start was also very much appreciated, coming from London, although I can't say I'd make the trip out to Fleet again just for this race. Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: Well organised and great support In full: This was my second time running my local race. Prefered the route to last year - it was great running down Fleet High Street twice and the last couple of miles were better too, especially the down hill bit at the end! The marshals were excellent and the supporters were fantastic - they totally made the race for me! Will definitely be back next year. Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: Well Organised and Great Support from the Locals In full: My first half marathon now out of the way. Everything appeared to run smoothly. Baggage drop extremely well organised. The start allowed plenty of opportunity for people to position themselves for their expected race time without much pushing and shoving. Once under way, the support, especially along the High Street was something else (both sides of the road several people deep for a good mile), and being able to pass twice down here was brilliant. After that, it was out into the countryside for another few miles before returning back to Fleet.
My only complaint was that perhaps a few more toilets at the start are required - there were plenty (probably about 60 units) but not quite enough for the demand. Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: Well Done! In full: Fantastic the new start was definitely better than last year! Managed a new PB for Half Marathon too so feeling very pleased :-) Fantastic support along the route and the marshals were great. Nice medal. Any chance of sports drinks next year? In short: Fantastic support & great rural/urban route In full: First time at Fleet after running Reading last year. Loved the run today, short drive from Basingstoke, parked straight away (free) - no hanging around for hours in the cold with tens of thousands of others like last year in Reading! Baggage drop a breeze and lots of portaloos near the start.
The start itself was a bit congested the first mile through the housing estate but opened out once we reached the High St. The spectators were brilliant today in Fleet, Dogmersfield & Crookham - much appreciated. Enjoyed the fast first 5 miles through Fleet itself before going rural. Nice downhill with 400m to go, lovely medal & a banana to finish.
Really enjoyed the Fleet Half, thanks to Fleet & Crookham AC for a well organised & supported event. A varied, at times very pretty route with a few inclines. I'll be back! Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: Great race around a great place. In full: As everyone else has said this is a very well organised race. The route was a lovely mix of town with great supporters and countryside where you can grimace in private and cover the miles before returning to enthusiastic support for the home finish. Well done and thank you Fleet & Crookham club for hosting a great event. Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: Really great race with fantastic support - and like the revised course! In full: Many improvements from last year (which I also really enjoyed btw). The start on Reading road north with expected times is much better. Also liked going down the high street twice as the atmosphere was fantastic. The finishing 2 miles felt tougher than the old course but that's no criticism. All in all a wonderful race and even better to have on your own door step! Date of review: March 20, 2011
