In short: Will do it again - but then I live in Derby and its a good cause!
In full: Started near the front so not held up by Sunday Runners - so avoided the start (and finish) problems of last year.
Why not put markers for finish times along the start?
Baggage very poor - lacked any security - just found my own bag and was not challenged, nobody checked number on bag against mine which was covered up by the tee-shirt. Not good if you've come any distance without support. Crime prevention!!

Enough of the gripes! - I really do like the Sporting-Futures shirts. Marshalls were very friendly. Atmosphere good. Weather excellent - who said it was too hot!!

In short: One word PHENOMINAL
In full: Having been out of the running game for several years I decided to jump back in at the deep end and go for a 10k, I'll just add that I bought the Runners World Guide to Running which is currently in WHSmihts and it was invaluable to my training, anyway the race was excellent, a really good atmosphere, the only flaw was that after completing the race the whole crowd if finishers hit a lot of congestion as we all tried to squeeze through into the area where they were handing out t-shirts and water, the last thing I wanted to do after a 10k was stop dead and go toe to heel like cattle. All in all though a fantastic race and I look forwards to a new PB next year.

In short: My first 10K - I'll be back for more
In full: This was the first time I'e ever raced - losing four stone before I felt able to (I was still that fattest one there) but it was fantastic and a 54 minute finsih made me want to come back for more.

In short: It's a nice touch finishing inside the stadium but the overall route is a bit dull and narrow near the start which is bad news when trying to get all competitors through. Much like my school report likeable but could have done better.
