In short: Excellent organisation etc - especially given foul weather In full: This is the fourth time I have run this race and easily the worst weather - which with my short of ideal training and increasing age combined to deliver a personal worst time. But the orgainsers could not be blamed for any of that and everything that was under their control was done exceptionally well, especially in the circumstances. Congratulations and thanks to all for their efficiency and their spirit. Also the amount of support around the course and especially at the end is a credit to the locals. This is my favourite half - even better than Windsor. Without doubt I will be back. Date of review: November 2, 2009

In short: Horrible weather - great race In full: Ive been running for 3 years and this was the wettest race i have ever done! But once we got going, the rain wasn't too much of a problem. Beat my previous halfM time by 1 minute. Very well organized race. I will be back next year for sure ! Date of review: November 2, 2009

In short: Dreadful weather but very enjoyable race In full: Very wet and windy. A huge thank you to the marshalls, water station volunteers and supporters who braved the elements. A rolling, scenic course through country lanes and the grounds of a private school (very posh!). There were no "killer hills", and a good amount of downhill sections but by the end the undulations were taking their toll! Well organised but a bit pricey. Just managed to creep in under 1hour 30, so pleased with that, given the conditions. Date of review: November 1, 2009

In full: After Hastings this is my favourite half marathon in Sussex. Country lanes are excellent and the hills were not really an issue - more the wind and rain - it was mild but before the race the low pressure waether system going through the country does put you off running. Still you know you have to do this as it is very well organised good atmosphere including afterwards with charity and playgroup tents offereing the local fare. Still I expect to be back. In short: Great organisation, consistently friendly marshals no matter what job they were doing made for a great event In full: Loved the race, weather was terrible as many people have already said but it's a lovely scenic course with the added nice touch that you get to run through a school to which the hoi polloi are not normally invited - loved running through the arch there! I even picked up a pb, but on a flatter course with (please) a little less wind that may mean there's more to come. Thanks to all involved with the organisation - the fabulous spirit I felt throughout the day is to the great credit of you all. Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Naff weather great race In full: Well done for a great race, shame about the weather and the fact I was not as prepared as I had wanted to be - still that is all my fault... Date of review: November 1, 2009

In short: Great race awful weather In full: This was a very well organised event and traffic free. The only down side was the weather which was awful so while the route is scenic it's very hard to say how much so due to not being able to see properly for the first hour. Previous reviews said there were killer hills but actually there aren't any it's just not flat. (I have done two more hilly halfs this year so I know what hills are.) You just need to ensure you do some hill training and you will be fine. Date of review: November 1, 2009
