In short: I said never again as I crossed the line but 30 seconds later I was already planning next year's race!
In full: I had a great time at the back and felt encouraged all the way round very friendly runners and spectators and marshalls. I'm now very wet and tired but I really can't wait until next year! I must be barking when I could have stayed in a nice warm bed with the Sunday papers and a nice hot coffee. See you next year!

In short: Mud, mud glorious mud (with bovine enhancement)
In full: No delay as stream bed -Allelujah!! but a couple of bottlenecks later on could have hacked off anyone looking for a time. It gave us normal mortals a rest

In short: mud, mud,glorious mud!
In full: Once again Bitton RR have done a great job.Friendly marshalls great atmosphere and a goody bag with lots of goodies that I could n't wait to scoff!
The course is challenging but great fun with the crowd at the river crossing egging people on.
The only race I've done that has a hot tub at the finish! Mind you it was a bit murky by the time I got there-hate to think what was in it!!

In short: Cracking fun - would definitely recommend it
In full: This was my first slog and I've had a fantastic day. Chipping Sodbury is a lovely part of the country to visit. It's not a race that I'd choose to try and beat a PB on, but running through rivers has great novelty value. The atmosphere throughout was very good, aided by very friendly marshals. Well organised, although the race started before people had a chance to get in position properly - need to allow longer to get runners to the start next time. Two minute silence and Last Post a very nice and meaningful touch. VFM - well worth it. It's a good beginner's race as long as you've trained properly, otherwise the course would put off would-be runners. As stated before, the course has got a fun feeling to it. Will try to do this one next year.

In short: Very varied, quite tough but great fun. I should have brought a change of clothes though. I'm wet and very smelly.
