In short: Fantastic fun. A great race to end the year. Time just not relevant.

In short: The first of many Slogs. A truly great race, superbly organised. Fun, madness, hard, challenging, totally wet, muddy...oh yes! Great people, excellent atmosphere...what more can I say? If you can only do one race next year, this is the one.
In full: Organisation: 10/10

Facilities: 10/10 (showers, baggage storage, shelter, toilets at the start)

Course: 10/10 (had to queue at last water feature! My fault, not fast enough)

Atmosphere: 10/10 (loads of banter and much needed support)

Gizits: 10/10 (goody bag, shirt, jelly beans, drinks)

Value for money: OH YES

You might have guessed, I’m sold on this race!

In short: A slip sliding, bog bashing, mud munching, hyperventilating horror............ Loved it!!
In full: I took up running 6 months ago and do most of my running on trails/cross country I've completed quite a few 10Ks and a British Military Fitness 10k, the Slog makes that look like a walk in the park, literally!! Though the event was tough you don't have much time to think about it as most of your concentration is taken up staying on your feet! I have to say the crowds, marshalls and organisation are second to none and really make the event. The pig trough was a bit hard on the legs 14 mins to get down the ditch in freezing water, a minor complaint and maybe that's part of the punishment!? The frequent signs saying 'smile you're on the Sodbury Slog' we a good reminder, but I have to say I haven't had as much fun in the mud for years.....since I was told off by my mum at 7 years old in fact !! Great event, on the must do list next year....give it a go what's the worst that can happen? You don't finish, like the 272 that didn't this year !

In short: Another excellent Slog, masses of mud, tremendous fun
In full: Well done to Bitton again for another superb Slog. Other have said it but I will say it again - why pay £20 and more for events like Hellrunner when this is a better event and much cheaper. Its not a race to be taken lightly, although its only 9 miles, it feels much tougher as the mud (slippy, sticky, grippy, claggy - all kinds you can think of) saps the strength. The atmosphere is always good, helped by the poignant 2 mins silence (careful with the toilet doors please next year), and the fancy dress runners...
The sheep dip hold up of last year (around 15-20 minutes for me) was gone, but unfortunately I got held up at the pig trough. Not entirely sure why, especially as when we were going through we were at a standstill for quite long periods, but then I guess this is part of the day.
It seemed harder this year than last (more muddy?) but that may just be me...
Great race and we'll be back next year.
Thanks!

In short: My first Sodbury Slog and what a fantastic experience it was. It has converted me to off road running in a single morning. I will absolutely be back next year for Boggy Bottoms and a dip in the river!!!!

In short: The event i look forward to most of all, its unique, its Sodbury, there is no where else like itit
In full: Congtratulations Bitton Road Runners and Gordon Robbins, great organisation, fantastic Marshals. I just love the whole affair, i enjoy Sodbury for the weekend, the mud, the filth at the sheep dip ditch of a questionable origin, and oh! the Eau De Toilette Sodbury Common, you should bottled it and sell it in time for Christmas !! Fantastic. Gordon, make it possible for two runners to get out of the Pig Trough at once and you've racked it !

In short: Couldn't feel my fingers ... couldn't feel my toes ...
In full: no idea where my shoes ended, socks finished and where legs began ... it was mud to the waist!
Great fun. Superbly organised. Brilliant marshalls who joined in the fun. Plenty of chat on the way round and everyone having fun.
Bitton Road Runners .... don't ever change one squishy squelchy step of it ... but shouldn't you change you name to Bitton Mud Runneres?
