In short: Super offroad event following detailed but clear written instructions.
In full: Glorious (but hot)weather greated us this year. The event is mainly through the attractive Hertfordshire countryside, although due to carelessness on my part, I ended up seeing a bit more of it than necessary due to misreading some of the written instructions! After enjoying the 18 mile event last year, took on the marathon this year and was delighted to finish in one piece - definate for next year and will aim to avoid any diversions!

In short: THANK YOU, Spartans.
In full: MY first trail run ... and it won't be my last. Only thing is that I think I am unlikely to find another event as enjoyable as this. The route, instructions, organisation and atmosphere were all marvellous.

In short: Amazing scenic route leading from Stevenage via underpasses, footpaths and woods. Finish passing a boating lake to find a free barbecue (with seconds) waiting. Organised by runners who have many friends.

In short: A good choice for a hilly but not too challenging off road marathon - navigational skills are required.
