In short: Very hard being hot, but loved it!
In full: Was extremely hard race with weather being so hot! Only other marathon was London in 09, another very hot day! Would love to run it in colder/wetter conditions!

The organisation was fantastic as ever!

Only down side was that the main field (blue start) came to a standstill twice shortly after crossing start line! Kind of expect it in mass participation event, but would be nice if could be prevented!

In short: My thrd and final marathon - out on a high!
In full: What an amazing day. Decided this would be my last marathon for a long time due to the strain the training has on my knees. Got a new PB..what a way to retire. 3h36mins!!!

In short: My first marathon and loved it!
In full: Too hot but fantastic atmosphere, really well organised and the crowds just made it! Difficult to get into stride as so many runners, but that's what London's all about, and the camaraderie on the course is great and keeps you going. Thought it was going to be my only one but am already thinking about next year!!

In short: A fantastic day, the crowd was amazing!
In full: My first marathon, full of ups and down. Such a great experience, the support from the crowd was amazing and the camaraderie of fellow runners. It does get crowded on course at times and it was very hot especially around docklands so not great for PB.

In short: Fantastic as ever - this is my last marathon so it was great to go out on a good one
In full: Very hot so was not a great one for a pb this time round. The crowds were exceptional as ever and the atmosphere was electric - everything ran like clockwork and all the marshalls were superb. If I was going to do another marathon (which I am not!!) I would chose London to do it.

In short: Incredible organisation, incredble atmosphere, incredible number of runners.
In full: If I was going to do one marathon, it would always have been London. In truth, I went in with high expecations of a good time but the sheer number of runners makes doing this very difficult. I barely noticed the sights as I was trying to navigate a path which was a real shame for me. The organisation and value though is undeniable and you get treated very very well. Thats what will live with me I think along with the unrelenting support from the crowds who make you feel like they're there for you personally!

In short: The biggest and best
In full: Got to say despite the weather and a PW still love this event the organisation is great whilst the banter and spirit cannot be beaten. Crowds were excellent and helped get me over my lows.
