In short: Monogrammed towel and flowers at the end of a pleasant flat run. In full: I love Spectrum Striders races for their cheery and well-organised races. The marshalls are always very friendly and encouraging. Having a chip means you have a more accurate (and flattering)idea of your time. Date of review: August 21, 2006
In short: Well organised, nice run out In full: Enjoyed the run - scenery is just "Warrington" so nothing much to take your mind off the road but hey ho. Well organised, lots of car-parking, enough toilets if you know where to look. Traffic well-behaved from my place in the pack. Well done Spectrum Striders! Date of review: August 20, 2006
In short: Very good race, withgreat marshalls In full: Always worth the trip. I really look forward to this race and the towel as a prize ( and additional flowers for women) is a great idea. Mostly flat with two or three short but steep hills after half way. Chip timing a plus this year, although wearing them on the ankle made us all lock like ASBO taggers!! In short: Ive been to many races but I RAN this one In full: After being a run/walker for many years and never ran continuously for more than 3 miles this race has become my favourite run ever after managing the whole 10K distance without walking. OK I was at the back and I finished 2nd to last (I think) but I really enjoyed it and it was a lot more scenic than I thought it would be. The marshalls were fantastic and very supportive and the organisation was great. Ive had a fab time today and ill be back next year.
In short: Actually think I enjoyed this! In full: A nice flat course with smooth roads / footpaths so easy to negotiate. Clear 1km signs that even I could notice without my glasses on and encouraging support from the marshalls. Date of review: August 20, 2006
