In short: Great crowds and support
In full: Once I got parked I really enjoyed this race. The stadium start/finish was brilliant and the crowds out on the course were fantastic. Lifted by the atmosphere I put in a sprint finish and was rewarded with some fab photos! Thanks to the people of Sheffield for a memorable experience, see you again next year.

In short: Excellent run, atmosphere was great!
In full: Water at the start could have been better - only at the last minute did it appear. Stewards in the stadium were proper jobsworths but even they could not spoil a great run in fantastic weather.

In short: Not as easy as the advert suggests
In full: Second time run and it did seem a bit more challenging than the first; maybe it was down to the heat on the day. Great support especially around the half way point. Will be back again next year.

In short: Sheffield really is a great sporting city!
In full: I did this with my wife and we loved it!

Being based at Don Valley ensures a magnificent uplifting start and finish to this great race. A real mixture of runners were very well catered for by the army of marshalls, helpers and supporters. The route includes a trip through the heart of Sheffield past the international pool, the Big Wheel and the Crucible Theatre before being rewarded by an excellent goody bag to go home with.

We will definitely make this race a fixture on our calendar!

In full: A great race, and although I bit too hot for my liking (I am from cooler Newcastle!)the support was fantastic. The marshals were also great and one helped me find my OH at the end of the race, when I was flaking!!

In short: Hot but loved it...
In full: Bit of a born again runner and my first 'half' for 20 years, being my 'home' race I couldn't resist and really glad I did. Fantastic atmosphere at the start, finish and in the city centre. Was blooming hot but didn't do myself any favours by wearing a furry crocodile fancy dress outfit - long story that involves beer!
I'll be back next year.

In short: what hills?
In full: My 1st 1/2 Marathon so no comparison except a couple of 10ks. I found the course much flatter than I expected - and flatter then my training runs - but I live here! I just slow down on the 'undulations' ;)

Some bits narrow and I was surprised to run in a crowd for most of the route. Weather was just on the limit of too hot for me - kept to the shady side of the roads - is this Sheffield? - I used the guys with water sprays. I thought the goody-bag very lightweight in terms of content but I liked the medal and wore it all day!

I parked in the city centre (free) and took the tram (12 mins); very crowded but they did run extra ones this year - only on the way out - later leavers found the trams busy on the way back.

Great to (start and) finish in the stadium; thought the PA could have been set up ready before everybody arrived though and couldn't hear most of it anyway, which was odd for a stadium!

Would be great if it could become a full marathon (next year) as it was sold out.
