In short: Very well organised, plenty of toilets on far side of track! no queues at all for ladies. Missed out on the Red Bull though I got a nice medal. Weather perfect for me. Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: I may be a little biased as I live in Sheffield! But it was a good day, the dull damp weather may have put some spectators off. The last three miles is always a bit grim but running Ecclesall Road is fantastic and makes it worth the work. Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: Well organised race with a great stadium finish. In full: Well organised and very friendly event that coped with the large numbers of entrants pretty well. The stadium base made it feel special and the final 100m running down the track the the cheers of the crowd will stay with me forever. The route is very urban, but interesting too - and excellently marshalled. Parking nearby was easy - although finding the centre again was confusing as the roads were closed - no fault of the organisers.
Overall an excellent experience and even the hills weren't too bad. A first timer would love this and come back for more.
In short: Perfect to try and cure a bad cold! In full: After a week fighting off a bad cold I was just happy to get round - friendly field. Usual gripe - toilets at start inadequate and long queues. Disappointingly the finish was a poorly organised (first time ever) and we were queueing for medals and an Alpen bar (for £20 seemed a bit stingy. Had to hunt around for the foil blankets. I'll be back next year! Date of review: April 27, 2008
