In short: Well run race. Shame about the wind
In full: Was hoping to finish with a pb, but a bit of a cold and running head on into a strong wind for what felt like two thirds of the race put paid to that.

In short: Well organised race, shame about the wind!
In full: Hats off to DB Max for a great race. Well organised and good facilities at the venue. Good PB potential but very exposed to the wind and with 3 laps that meant running into a gale for 3/4 of a mile three times which took the spring out of the legs! Not totally flat but given the right conditions (ie not a gale) potentially very fast. Shame the hot tubs didn't turn up, I bought my trunks specially!!

In short: First ever 10k - PB in the bag! Most enjoyable.
In full: Heavy rain drumming on the roof of the car an hour before the start did not bode well for my first ever 10k. By 11.00am, the rain had stopped, the sun was threatening to break through and the wind was not going to let up. Excellent race on a novel and interesting track (the Castle Combe motor racing circuit). The km markers were really helpful, the group of supporters on each lap encouraging and the chap with the loudhailer (Will?) kept everyone aware of what was going on, which was great. As for the race, I was delighted to cross the finishing line in 44mins 36 seconds. Top marks all round!!

In short: Well organised overall. But Lack of medals for all finishers
In full: A very well orgainsed event. Stress free parking and registering. Can be very windy as it was on this day. If it is raining it can be very tough as their is no hiding from it. Small number of competitors can mean that the field is very spread out. Only problem was the lack of medals for all competitors, although I was promised one through the post.

In short: Flat & friendly
In full: Well organised and really friendly atmosphere. I found three laps a bit of psychological struggle as the scenery was non-existent - but thats the compromise in having a very flat course with good PB potential.

In short: Very well organised; friendly and a definite PB course. I've been twice now and will be back. Other races can beat this on scenery and variety, but if you want to see how fast you can run a 10k, this is the place!!
