In short: A really enjoyable run. A good course. The whole thing was much improved on my 2006 experience

In short: Well organised, friendly and scenic race targetted at a wide range of people
In full: This race continues to grow and improve. Start was prompt this year (with organised warm up well in advance). Marshalling excellent and some good support in places. Very scenic and a nice change if you're used to racing on the roads. Great atmosphere and beginner friendly too.

But hope they use a different results service next year. I still cannot access the results on the Blacksheep site - a minor irritation after a very enjoyable event.

In short: Fantastic race, setting & organisation - recommended
In full: The downhill finish made a huge difference (hadn't checked this out ahead of race and so was gearing myself up for the hill-finish with a couple of Ks to go!). Great support, lovely atmosphere and the post-race fruit is a nice touch. Weather was superb which always helps, and having the race starter also complete the race (John Motson) is impressive. Bring on next year (odds on such great weather in October again...!?)

In short: Fantastic race, great challenging route, top organisation
In full: Wow, what a difference three years makes! They fixed the route, introduced chip timing and pens and what a finish. Lovely sprint to the line with crowds either side, processing by chip removers, medal givers and fruit girls rounded off a great race. Massage and weather were spot on too!!!!!

In short: Big race and has a real special event feel to it, espcially locally. Course is pretty good. Chip timings are essential given the huge field.

In short: Great event, looking forward to next year's one.
In full: Everything about this event was spot on. The race route, atmosphere and organisation were all excellent. This was the first multi-terrain race I have entered and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. A big thank you to all who participated and especially to the marshalls, who I thought were excellent.
